Ready to have fun on two wheels?
Bike Basics is a structured, hands-on session designed for Early Years and KS1 pupils, giving children their first experience of balance and independent riding in a safe, supportive environment. No prior experience is needed — sessions are fully inclusive and adapted for all abilities and confidence levels. Delivered by experienced practitioners, Bike Basics maps directly onto physical development outcomes and gives every child a foundational skill they can build on for years to come
Please note, children are encouraged to bring their own bike and helmet to the session where possible. Riding a familiar bike helps build confidence on a bike they are familiar with and allows our team to carry out a complimentary safety check before activities begin.
A limited number of bikes and helmets may be available if required.
All participants must wear a helmet at all times during the session. We also recommend comfortable clothing and sensible flat shoes (no sandals).
